The theme of this year's urban workshops organized by the Institute of Cities and Regions Design, Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology is planning a better city.
Urban Summer School classes are an extension of courses conducted at national and foreign faculties of architecture. The basic formula is to think about problems concerning contemporary cities, the role of architect and urban planner in the process of shaping the urban space with particular emphasis on the contemporary development of cities with a historical background.
The workshop educational system of Urban Summer School provides support for the program's implementation by lectures and presentations of professors from Polish and foreign academic centres, experienced architects and urban planners. The course includes classes in the form of workshops, lectures, sightseeing of Crakow and study tours to the picturesque corners of southern Poland.
