2012 Urban Reset - Potential for Munich

Forschung, PAGE:TUMvCard |

Topic: Identifying urban potentials of Munich Central Station in an interactive workshop, developing new problem views and tasks for the future linkage of transport infrastructure and neighbourhood development.

Brief description: The workshop asks about the urban potential of Munich Central Station, which is one of the most important nodes of the metropolitan region. The station as a city machine of the 19th century has to be rethought for the 21st century. Traffic infrastructure and buildings are only one dimension of the potentials of this place. The workshop will broaden the view to the integration of the surrounding districts, the interfaces in public space and the functional recharging of the traffic junction beyond shopping.
