Dipl.- Ing. Julia Fleckenstein
is a research associate at the Professorship of Digital Fabrication at TUM since 2019. She holds an architecture degree from University of Innsbruck and gained experience as a scholarship student at the University of Texas at Arlington and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Her doctoral research explores computational design methods and their application in robotic fabrication with a focus on geometrically differentiated and site-specific building envelopes in full architectural scale and is embedded within the BFS funded research project Climate Active Envelopes since 2022. Owing to her professional experience in architecture offices across Austria, China, Germany and the USA, she combines theoretical insights from her research with the practical implementation.
