Cities are facing fundamental challenges, from digitalization to gentrification to urbanization. City planning processes cannot keep up with this speed of change. At the same time, cities like Munich are losing their places of creativity, inspiration and diversity that break the city’s structure, form identity and attract creative talent. These challenges require new concepts of city making with innovative methods and tools. Let’s put Munich back on the map of the Creative Class.
Prototype your vision of the WEIRD Munich.
Join experts and decision makers from the academic and practical field in developing, building and testing Urban Prototypes. Experience new methods and approaches to city making and change Munich. Use Urban Prototypes to hack the city and make it more exciting, innovative, unpredictable, diverse and weird. The Urban Prototyping LAB is a phased four-days-workshop to explore and test urban interventions. It is hosted by the TUM Department of Architecture and the TUM School of Management. It includes guided working sessions, feedback-loops and input lectures. We will work in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with experts. We want to innovate the city, develop fast concepts, test them in the field and evaluate the results. Together we will #MakeMunichWeird.
If you want to challenge the existing, move from designing to building, transform the city and learn new methods, join us.
