The open position in Humanitarian Architecture is aiming at strengthening the existing research focus on human-centered architectural design at the Department of Architecture.
Main tasks of the professor are contributing to research and teaching in the field of humanitarian architecture with focus on global sustainable development and multidisciplinary collaboration, developing and leading projects and integrate them with the teaching.
Your experience and ambitions:
The ideal candidate has a MA degree in Architecture and practical design experience with high level outcomes in the field of humanitarian architecture; a doctoral degree in Architecture is of benefit. Successful candidates for the Professor of Practice position require i) several years of experience in university teaching or advising of students, ii) holistic understanding of sustainable architecture, iii) practical experience in project development and construction in the field of Humanitarian Architecture, iv) experience in research with a track record in peer-reviewed publications and conferences, and v) experience in grant writing and acquiring of funding.
