1st Colloquium of the Munich School of Engineering

18.07.2011

The colloquium „Sustainable Energy Supply of the Future“ on July 18th was organized to provide insights into the variety of energy research activities at TUM through presentations and posters

Sustainable and secure power supply is an issue that is already affecting our society and will be even more important in the future. In order to achieve strong developments in this very broad area an interdisciplinary approach is extremely powerful. By founding the Munich School of Engineering (MSE) the TUM is creating an inter-faculty body that connects various different disciplines to address this challenge.

To increase the visibility of this new school within the TUM and to gain new collaborators, the MSE invites doctoral students and academic staff from all disciplines at the TUM to participate in the first colloquium of the Munich School of Engineering. The aim is to bring together the knowledge of different disciplines but also to show which tools and methods for development are available within the TUM, thereby building a powerful network that forges new alliances which will allow symbiotic interdisciplinary research.
