TUM Landscape Architecture Alumni Club


The TUM Landscape Architecture Alumni Club is a community of graduates, students, friends and supporters of the landscape architecture and landscape planning study programs at the TUM. The Alumni Club was founded on 11 October 2007 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Chair of Landscape Architecture at the TUM.

Purpose of the Club

  • To promote the development of teaching and research in the field of landscape architecture and landscape planning at the TUM on an ongoing basis
  • To maintain connections between the TUM and its students and graduates
  • To organize regular exchanges of information and experiences between students and practicing landscape architects as well as between students and teaching and research staff at the member universities in order to inform and promote teaching and research on the one hand and professional practice and vocational training on the other
  • To publicize teaching and research in the field of landscape architecture and landscape planning at the TUM

Activities

  • Regular meetings and conferences for exchanging information
  • The annual publication of 'nodium', the Landscape Architecture Alumni Club magazine (free for all members)
  • Arrangement of field trips
  • Commendation of outstanding and especially committed students
  • Regular information for members on news and current developments from the landscape architecture and landscape planning chairs at the TUM
  • Ongoing networking between the realms of teaching, research and professional practice with a view to developing an excellent internal and external network of experts and professionals
